American and BBQ
First Choice BBQ- The mouth-watering, finger-licking goodness of the barbecue served at this restaurant will have you grabbing for extra napkins. Succulent pork, chicken, beef, sausage, ham and ribs are slow-cooked to perfection over a brick grill then served in generous portions and accompanied with a special sauce made from a family recipe. Traditional side dishes include beans and potato salad along with spicy fried hushpuppies. The restaurant is located near Falkenburg Road off Adamo Drive.
Mimi's Cafe- Tom often heard stories about his father's colorful life. In World War II, Arthur J. Simms was a pilot, flying dangerous spy missions over occupied Europe. After the war, he began his restaurant career in Chicago but soon headed out to Hollywood. He ran the commissary at the MGM Studios in the 1950s, feeding the likes of Clark Gable, Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. It was at MGM that he learned that the key to success in restaurants was treating everyone like a star.
Applebee's-Applebee’s® was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, by Bill and T.J. Palmer. The Palmers envisioned a restaurant that would provide full service, consistently good food, reasonable prices and quality service in a neighborhood setting. Their first restaurant, T.J.
